Reflection

The rhetorical essay was a completely novel genre of writing to me. It was extremely difficult for me initially, which made each individual step of the writing process significant from drafting to revision to editing. I had to enhance the manner in which I did each of these parts to produce a paper of any quality. For example, due to my choice of analyzing a film, there was a vast array of choices to write about so drafting required a detailed outline considering each possible quote and theme.  Additionally, this essay allowed me to recognize how people interpret art and rhetoric in their own form which creates a variability in the message an audience may receive, however, this was only uncovered recently during reflection. For these reasons, I believe I have more learning to achieve Objective 1 but have reached Objective 2.
